It's true, but what's weird for me is that they couldn't find an original premise for a primetime drama, and so remade shows from our youth (except, you know, with a new generation of characters).

And Glee feels particularly egregious in the bad characterisation department. They are so exaggerated as to be completely unrealistic and unrelateable, and that is why it upsets me that Glee is billing itself as the season's new hit.
