"Yeah, it's just that 3% of sand that gets into your suit and acts like it's 97% of sand...."

1) X3 was.... okay, I guess. As a fan of the comics, I was very distressed by some of the events/characterizations/choices, but after discussing it afterwards, I think I liked it. The touches added from the comics eventually outweighed my initial dismay, I think. I mean, seriously. "Oh my stars and garters" got in! w00t. Even without that, I think Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian would have made it worth it for me. At any rate, it continues the trend of exciting summer superhero movies. A fun $10 diversion: yay! & I didn't even notice that the special effects were special effects while I was watching, which is the mark of Really Good Effects: it was only afterwards that I thought about it and said, "Hey, those were some fucking good effects." Yay! P.S. Famke Janssen needs to stay away from the red Kool-Aid... or at least, not leave it in quite so long. And Arclight needs to please choose a gender.

2) I love the beach. I love the sand, I love the sun, I love the sea (oh glorious sea). And I love no longer having white legs (though don't expect too much of them yet).
- razor burn
- sand burn (bloody wind & fine, silty sand)
- no sunburn, though, which is a definite plus. & also got rid of awkward white-shouldered farmer tan. yay!
AYA. I am so sorry we missed your calls. I hope you had a brilliant afternoon.... *hug*

3) I love biking, except the seat kills my ass (there is very painful contact between the ancient, rock-hard foam of the seat and the poor, poor ball-and-socket joints between my femurs and my pelvis). It hurts a lot.

4) Zach, I have a bruise on my collarbone from where you poked me the other night. Last I checked it was bluish.

I was really upset by the way they took down mags -- it just seems so wrong that they would stoop to the level of their enemy, you know? the x-men are supposed to be above that. they should have found another way.

o. m. g. yes. (i mean not that i have anything against iceman but gambit is just much more amazing and the g/r relationship was one of my biggest draws to the comic.) (evidently the reason gambit isn't in the movies so far is that they felt he was too similar to cyclops, in looks and power)

Oh Bullogna! Gambit is teh cool..Cyclops is too uptight...and he doesn't the accent...THE ACCENT! -_- i have very little urge to see that movie especially since it is so much more different than the comics...tch..ain't no x-men without Gambit, monème. ^_^

i thought it was kind of overwhelming, especially at first when it was really really vivid purple-red. later in the movie it was toned down a bit more and i liked that well enough.... i think i like her better with more auburney-red hair, like they did in the other movies; it looks more natural on famke. and then one also must consider that jean's hair is much more orangey-red in the comics...
