Mum and I watched "Tristan and Isolde" today -- not the opera, but the movie with James Franco and Sophia Myles that came out a few years ago. (It was pretty good I guess, but probably not the kind of film I need to be watching right now.) And she said something about the name Tristan meaning 'sad' and then I thought I'd look up Jay and see what his name means because I never had before and it seems like something you should know about someone who matters that much, right? Or at least, something I should know because I care about things like that. And the answer? Nothing much.

Something about that is disturbingly gratifying.
