This is a happy post.
Mar. 4th, 2007 02:29 pmSeveral good things have happened to me, all at once:
1) I figured out my living situation for next year, finally -- I'm going to share aa one-bedroom university apartment with Sonja, my roommate from last year. It'll be really good, I think -- we had a good thing going on, you know? I'm really excited about it. And we'll have a kitchen and cable TV, and if we get into the building we want, we'll also have air conditioning, a gas fireplace, and a swimming pool on the roof. *grin* The only thing is, it's kind of far away from Schoenberg; I'll definitely bring my bike, and I might even be able to get parking underneath the building, which would be cool for late night practicing, and for concerts -- I'd park somewhere across the street from the music building.
2) I went with Zach and Bridget to see Tannhäuser last night, and it was really good.... Great set design & use of colour, great singers, and great orchestra... My teacher was playing principal, and he sounded really good. Hee. And also some damn sexy dancers, heh. And student rush tickets are only $20, and we were on the orchestra level (granted, the second-to-last-row, but still, it was close enough to not have to use binoculars too much). So that was a good time. Also, one of my outfits finally got Zach's approval. Go me!
3) My roommate is taking next quarter off to be an "actress." (The part she got -- with the theater company her dad works in -- is "fairy" in A Midsummer-Night's Dream: she has one short conversation with Puck at the beginning of Act II and never comes back, and she feels that she needs to take the entire quarter off for the role.) But anyway, she's leaving, so I'm not complaining. *shrug*
So, yeah. Good things. *grin*
