Yahoo! sent me a notification that Geocities is closing in October, and I should take steps to rescue the content of my webpage (which I built in middle school using extremely simple and yet still flawed HTML)! I had only a vague recollection of what was there, anyway, so this morning I looked up my old username and discovered that it had been so long, I couldn't even log in, because my username =/= a Yahoo!ID. Haha. So instead, I went to the webpage itself (no I will not link you there) and, wow. Just... I'm really glad that I grew up and gained a sense of dignity, gravitas, and (most importantly) aesthetics. Because no-one actually wants to see five different obnoxious colours of text on a black background, and they especially don't want to see five different obnoxious colours of text on a white background because your code is fuxed and the black background does not work. Not to mention all the different levels of, "Oh GOD did I really say that on the internet?"

So yeah. I have no problem letting Y! delete all the content there. That part of me is one that should fall away into the ether. Because, oh god the horror.
