how do you mean gross? I mean, I don't cook things I don't think I'll like. I guess I may have made a sandwich or two that was nicht so gut? b/c the meat and/or mayo was elderly.
Lost something important to you?
if I've lost something material, it wasn't important enough to remember. But the things I've lost that aren't Stuff... yes. Very important.
Got a gift you adore?
oh, absolutely!
Tripped over a coffee table?
definitely tripped over the Nottoman! Which has coffee table-like functions. Also that goddamn mat.
Dyed your hair?
No. I'm actually quite pleased with my hair colour.
Came close to losing your life?
Er. No?
Went to a party?
hells yeah
Read a great book?
definitely started quite a few, but I don't know that I've actually finished any books this year! Um, oops.
Saw one of your favorite bands/artists live?
hell yeah dawn upshaw. who was actually a little disappointing.

Did you meet any new friends this year?
of course!

I won't lie. Yes.

sadly, yes.
Do you have any regrets when it comes to your friendships?
There are people I could have treated better. Situations I could have handled more capably.

Was it a good one?
yeah, it was.
What did you do?
bought gin at midnight & mini-partied with my besties, was surprised with refreshments and balloons at work, drove a lot & was exceedingly patient with traffic, saw The Dark Knight and had a sleepover! And I guess my family had a dinner that weekend?

just a few, I don't need anything besides friendship and love

yes. and yet, no. But yes.

sort of? I mostly dress the same, but now with more skirts.

nope. I just look after it for my mum, keep it watered and exercised, you know.

not big ones... short trips, to idyllwild, san francisco, san diego, and chico.

yeah -- I would want to be in shape and not single.

for me, personally? I guess not so much. Eventful, but weighted toward the not-awesome events.

oh, man! So the head of the Music Education program has this arrangement set up with a few elementary schools in the area where a couple times a week, he brings a handful of his students to the school to teach violin. There's no money involved (*sigh*) but the kids get to have music class and we get experience so it's a win-win situation, I guess. I was one of those students last term, and it was exhausting. There were four of us, and we each had a class that we worked with. Mine was the... not-as-bright class, and I was the youngest/least experienced teacher. Which meant we went slower than the other classes, and on top of that my class actually missed a lesson or two -- through no fault of mine! -- and so the entire time I was trying to play catch-up and it was sort of awful. Also my class was very very chatty, and their teacher was kind of a tyrant (I'm not sure which caused the other, but it definitely created a feedback loop in which each made the other worse), and so they ran roughshod over me pretty much the entire time.

It was a really good experience, though.

(but that doesn't mean I'm not relieved to be off the hook this term!)
