so one of the best things about playing a double reed instrument is that if you really just cannot face practising (and even thinking about working on scales/intervals/etudes/solo for juries makes you want to cry), you can totally just spend the entire day making reeds and still feel like you've been really productive instrumentally. woo!
in other news, i missed dinner since i was making reeds, so i'm eating a muffin and it's kind of dodgy. and now i get to analyze haydn, and then after that i get to do a whole assload of reading for my english seminar because i just used up my "get out of homework free" card (figuratively). and by assload i mean on the order of 200+ pages, the link to which first did not appear on my computer despite the "teacher" (she's a 4th year english major) posting it on thursday, then did not even work so i only downloaded the file this morning, right before i left for class. yay! homework = head explodey!
